A fabulous two-bedroom property located down a quiet farm track on the edge of a wide expanse of beach. This tranquil property is perfect for families, friends, nature lovers, dog walkers and beachgoers. The property sits at the mouth of the Wansbeck River, overlooking the golden sands of Cambois Bay. This relatively unknown but stunning beach lies 6 miles from the more well-known seaside resort, Blyth, where you’ll find everything you need for a traditional seaside holiday. From colourful beach huts to fish and chips to a bustling quayside where you can board boat trips to explore the spectacular coastline, Blyth has it all.
This beautiful property is packed with characterful features and materials. Some were salvaged from the cottage's history as a stable and schoolhouse, while some were sourced from the local area. Enjoy exposed stone walls, high beamed ceilings, natural wood features and local artwork alongside cosy furniture and contemporary comforts. Walk through an arched entryway into an airy, light, open-plan living space with an impressive brick fireplace. This lounge/dining area features comfortable sofas, a solid wood dining table, a Smart TV and a wood burner. The separate galley kitchen is a thoughtfully designed space filled with natural light from the many windows and skylights, and contains everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Staying on this floor, there is a beautiful king-size bedroom with a feature wall of exposed red brick and heavy dark wood furniture. The second bedroom can be made up as a king-size or twin room, depending on your preference. The shared bathroom has a WC and a large walk-in rainfall shower. A steep, hand-built staircase leads from the lounge up to a first-floor snug area with a beamed apex ceiling, easy chairs and a selection of books and games. It’s an ideal hang-out space for older children.
The outside space at this property is fantastic. There is an enclosed courtyard perfect for letting children play outside safely and a larger sprawling garden beautifully landscaped with mature trees, natural materials and a nautical theme. A table and chairs at the garden's edge are perfectly positioned for you to enjoy stunning views across the beach and bay. Paths lead from either side of the cottage to the beach.
