Beautiful countryside location for walking, cycling visiting friends and family and sightseeing galore. You have Beamish, the Living Museum of the North on your doorstep and the world’s oldest railway at Tanfield dating back to 1725 for a memorable steam train trip in any weather. Wander through the local ancient woodlands and explore Causey Arch, the world’s oldest remaining single span bridge, this area is a haven for walkers. There are plenty of cycling routes too, a picnic park and a great golf course, as well as some excellent pubs and eateries nearby. The local team room will be happy to arrange breakfast or dinner for you and will deliver to your cottage. A little further afield you can visit the beautiful sandy beaches on the coast, Tynemouth is only 16 miles and that’s to name but one. A day out in Newcastle for shopping and restaurants is a must, as is Durham for its history, amazing cathedral and relaxing river walks. The country villages and seaside harbours of Northumberland are an easy drive too so you will have plenty to do and see staying here.
Entering the cottage, you will find yourself in the hallway where you can hang your coats and leave your walking boots. Head into the light and airy, open plan lounge kitchen and dining area with a comfortable sofa and large pouffe to settle into for an evening catching up on a favourite film on the Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric 2-ring hob, a fridge, microwave toaster and kettle and a couple of breakfast bar stools. There is also a dining table for two where you can sit and enjoy your meals together. The bedroom has a king-size bed with bedside drawers and open plan storage and the spacious bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower over the bath so you can enjoy a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. There are two other one-bedroom cottages here which you can book as a larger party.
Outside, there is a shared paved area with bench-style seating and a lovely picnic area just next door. Parking is for one car is private and off-road.
